ABOUT US
Nekky Candles is a small, family run business which we operate out of our home in Moncks Corner, SC. Each member of our family plays an important role in our business. Mom, Kathy, runs the business and makes all of our candles and Dad, Mark, is "Director of Everything Else". All three children, Nicholas, Emily and Kaley (for whom the company is named), also have responsibilities within the company and you will often find one, two or all three of them along side us at the many fairs and festivals that we attend.
Nekky Candles are hand poured in small batches to ensure a high quality product. All of our candles are tested, re-tested and tested again to ensure they meet our high standards and expectations.
We use only all natural soy wax for all of our candles. There is no other wax mixed with our soy. To that we add essential oils or phthalate free fragrance oils. Why phthalate free? Phthalates are basically chemical plasticizers that have been used for many years. Recently there have been concerns that high levels of phthalates could cause health issues. While it is not clear what levels of phthalates would cause these issues, we have made the decision to use only phthalate free fragrance oils. Finally, we add lead and zinc free cotton wicks which have been coated with soy wax.
Soy candles are better for the environment and Nekky Candles is doing our part to make our world a more eco-friendly place. All of our containers can be reused or recycled. Our boxes, tags and labels are all made with recycled material which can easily be recycled and the decorative twine used on some of our products can be reused. Even our packing peanuts for shipping can be recycled!

Burn candles on a heat resistant surface in a well-ventilated area, away from children, pets and drafts. Keep wicks trimmed as indicated on bottom of jar for maximum efficiency. Never move a burning candle. When the candle has finished burning, apothecary jar can be reused or recycled. To clean jar, remove any excess wax and wash jar with soap and hot water. Do not pour wax down any drain.
